LOVE PRIMER

Want to be a hit with your wife? Make her love you to pieces? Fill your home with loving warmth? Allow you to see the gang regularly, view TV sports, be lovey dovey in bed? If you want to spice up your relationship, just follow me while I show you several simple ways to help you be on your way to paradise.
I might add that the following worked pretty well for all of my 64 years of marriage.

A) Use blank greeting cards. Be inventive, be loving, be inspiring, be your true self. I enclose a few samples I've used over the years.

MOTHER'S DAY --You have been and continue to be the kind of mother most children would want to have as their very own. You are strong, brave, selfless, dedicated and loving. My love and admiration for you is boundless. You are my woman in sickness and in health. Your very touch stirs my heart

VALENTINE'S DAY -- Dearest darling, You are my history, you are my future, and all the while there is music, love, poetry, joy, laughter and comfort. You are my now, you are therefor I am. So many valentines to come. Find peace and comfort in this one. I live for you my darlingest darling. My velvet valentine.

ANNIVERSARY -- We stumble on, you and I . Our bonds weathered through storms and ever emerging suns. Bent but not broken. Sixty-two years and we plow on, canes at the ready, undaunted, seeking solace and warmth in our nearness. On this, our anniversary, I send you my forever love.

BIRTHDAY-- After 20 years of marriage, three children, and limitless lovemaking, I must tell you that you are ever young, ever beautiful, ever desireable, and my raison d'etre for living. My birthday girl always.

I have sent my love hundreds of cards over the years. None have been the same.

B) Why not send your wife a surprise love letter out of the blue -- A few lines will do. She will be delighted.

C) Sprinkle post-it love notes through out the house in non-obvious locations. Sort of a treasure love hunt. Believe me, it works in spades.

D) Flowers for no special occasion, or an exceptional box of chocolates. include a short note.

E) Your loved one will never tire of hearing you say, I LOVE YOU.

F) Good things to do: A light kiss, non-smothering. A light touch, a look, a come here smile, a soft embrace. Don't expect this to be a prelude for more.

G) Do not insist on making love. Do not jump into bed and rush into the act. Make sure she is ready, try a little gentle foreplay. Even then play it by ear, be patient, be loving. If there is a NO for any reason be man enough to accept this.

H) Most important: Don't argue over small things, unimportant things. Most arguments can be avoided simply by saying yes -- give in if it is not earth shaking. No matter what, do not ever argue in front of your children.

I) Any of these listed approaches, will make your home a warm, caring, loving one.

PAYING HOMAGE

Marcia, I must pay homage to my brother Philip. Without him we may never have met.
He cared enough to take the time and the trouble to introduce me to Sam, Reuben, and the rest of the boys. It was through this friendship that I got to meet you.

It was his oratory, his intellect, and his charisma that got you interested in the progressive movement. You may have even had a teen-age crush on him. You were getting two for the price of one so to speak. However, I wanted you in every way and was willing to accept any break in my direction. I was simply head over heels in love with you and remain so, sixty-five years later.

I SING OF THEE a celebration

I LOVE THE LOOKS OF YOU
THE LURE OF YOU
THE SWEET OF YOU
THE SWEAT OF YOU
THE EYES, THE ARMS
THE MOUTH Of YOU

That song is but a small expression of my love for you my darling.
I sing of thee to honor your 82nd birthday, our 61 years of marriage,
to celebrate our meeting 65 years ago, to touch the past and savor it.
I sing to thee, to thee I sing.

We were so very young, I was 18 and you had just turned 16 when we
first met on Esplanade St. opposite good friend, Sam's house in Monteal,
good old Montreal, our home town.

You were
leaning against a telephone pole and I stood there dumbly as we were
introduced. The chemistry was almost immediate for both of us. I still
remember your voice, so musical, so clarion clear, so full of life. I liked
the look of you, the way you stood, your sparkling smile, the brightness
of your eyes. I knew we would be seeing a lot of each other.

And all the while I was drawn ever closer to you. How can I forget your
smiling eyes, your laughing eyes, your magnetic eyes. I can still clearly
see your swan-like neck, your pert ears, your luscious lips, your saucy
breasts pointing at me, your lustrous black hair, your more so torso that
fitted mine so well.

Memories, memories my darling. We were two peas in a pod and the pod
was comfortable, I could live there, I could be safe, away from my tumultuous
past.

When we were apart, we connected by phone. Words poured out, words of
love, of nonsense, of bonding -- crazy glue for a couple of kids crazy in love.

Let my heart speak to you,
can you hear its thunder?
Let my eyes speak to you,
can you see their brightness?

Let my smile speak to you,
can you feel its laughter?
Let my lips speak to you,
can you respond to its nursing?

Let my mind speak to you,
can you sense its churning?

Let us seek each other
Love each other
Romance each other
Forever and a day

BODY ELECTRIC

When is the last time you looked
at your wife’s face in repose?
Do it today, Do it now.

See how defenseless, how very precious,
how beautiful she is.
Snuggle close, kiss her soft lips,
touch her breasts

When she wakens, cleave into her ....
With reverent awe, with tender passion
With sheer joy, your body electric,
Alive with love.
